Click File - Export as Web Page.
|
The export function creates a Web page (HTML file) and an imagemap (GIF file). On export your browser will start and show the generated page. All Hyperlinks attached to Branches are used to create hot spots. You can immediately click on all hot spots in your map. It's a good idea to test these links once you post the page to the Web.
You can optionally create a drop-shadow on the imagemap to give it depth. When you use this option the GIF background color is always white and no longer transparent.
If your map contains links to local documents (absolute or relative path names) you must remember to copy the target files to your Web site (and be sure to test the links).
Text notes attached to the branches will appear as pop-up (Alt) text on the imagemap. Some browsers do not support line breaks in the Alt text, so you should avoid line breaks in the notes if you are using this export option.
Hint: The size of the exported map is affected by the current zoom factor.
You can create a file containing an image of your map on disk. You may choose from four formats: BMP, GIF, PCX, or PNG.
To export the map as a bitmap image:
•
|
Click File - Export as Bitmap.
|
On export the file is immediately opened for editing.
You can add an optional drop-shadow to the image. The background of the image is always set to white.
Hint: The size of the exported map is affected by the current zoom factor.
This command copies the map to the Windows clipboard in these forms:

|
Bitmap image (.BMP format).
|
